A Message from Chief Stoney Ward
To the Citizens of Our Community,
Serving as your Chief of Police is not just a position — it is a responsibility I carry with deep humility and gratitude. This community is more than the place we work; it is the place we raise our families, worship, attend school events, and call home.
Every call we respond to represents someone experiencing a moment that matters — often one of the most difficult moments of their life. Whether it is a crisis, a tragedy, or simply a need for help, we understand that behind every call is a person who deserves compassion, respect, and to be heard. That understanding guides how we serve.
The men and women of this department are committed not only to enforcing the law, but to building genuine relationships. We believe strong communities are built on trust, communication, and partnership. We are here to listen. We are here to support. And we are here to stand beside you — not just in times of emergency, but every day.
We know that trust is earned through actions. My promise to you is that we will lead with integrity, treat every individual with dignity, and continually strive to improve how we serve. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and service rooted in care for this community.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege to serve you. Your support, encouragement, and partnership mean more than words can express. Together, we will continue to make our community a safe, strong, and united place to live.
With sincere respect and gratitude,
Chief Stoney Ward Chief of Police
